I have no idea what happened with the contest when I posted in GD!

I just posted and then deleted the contest in GD...most images not visible!

What an unexpected disaster! I didn't see anything I had done wrong, all the pictures were visible in my browser...I'd hit refresh, even restarted...all looked fine! The urls for all the photos were what I copied and pasted from the images themselves...I saw them in preview... how can I fix that?

I just spent two hours working on the contest and then something totally embarrassing like that happens out of the blue ....Aaaargh!

I'll try again in a while, later today...will try to figure out what went wrong.

I was about to return and study and vote, and thought it was my failed 'search.' Really wish it were my problem, and not your real problem!

It is not unusual for new winners to have trouble posting their first polls...Be gentle with yourself...

All I did wrong was waste a morning working on the contest. I guess I'll just blow it off until they fix their problems, go out and enjoy the day.

All that hard work and something out of your control ruins it.

but when I posted the long thread today I did it with photobucket and had no problems. You have my sympathy. Even when nothing goes wrong posting the submission threads is a tricky job (except for some pros here in the photo group, you know who you are)
Crossing my fingers for your next attempt.

I just got back and see photobucket is back up. I was just frustrated because it took hours and making sure everything was OK, and it was, and I didn't know what went wrong, and I was under pressure to do something fast, so I self deleted without thinking of copying the text... I've never self deleted a post before, I guess I used it as a panic button! But I had no idea what the reason was... I could see all the pictures from my browser's memory cache so that is why all looked fine to me.

So I'm just beginning it over tomorrow morning, ugh! But I was really stoked for the contest starting this morning... maybe tomorrow too?

I am very sorry for your loss of time and energy. I save the threads in separate folders til all is said and done. Meaning: the winner is declared
Maybe now you will do that as well.
