July Photo Contest is now open for submissions - Contest is closed

This is the official submission thread for the July Photo Contest.

Flamin lib won the May contest and has set the theme for the July contest: “I made this”. This contest is about being involved in creating the image. The idea isn't to make pictures of interesting things but to make interesting pictures of things. Anything from trimming leaves around a flower to a full fledged studio. Added light, subtracted light, moving stuff, adding an element or post processing. Anything that a photographer can do to be involved in MAKING an image.

Please note the restrictions on image size: 1024 pixels in its longest dimension and under 675K in file size. If you need help posting a photograph or with image sizing, just ask.

Please be sure to include a title in your submission. If you so desire, please add some short explanatory text to your title, such as, Lily; used clothespin to hold flowers steady. Or add an explanation in the photo contest comments thread.

One submission per photographer. I will post a separate announcement if we need to open it up for a second entry.
This thread will close for entries on 22nd July at 7:00pm CST or when 30 submissions has been reached.

First round of voting 22nd July for 3 days
Final round of voting 26th July for 3 days
Winner announced 29th July and they will decide the August theme.

An entrant to this contest, by submitting a photograph, is giving permission for that photograph to be copied to Demopedia or to a linked Gallery and included in a DU Calendar that will display the photographs entered for this contest for the purpose of publicizing future contests and/or commemorating current and past contests.
