About to update my website.

I'll do that tomorrow or Sunday so if you check in to see new updates and haven't been there in he last week to it before then as these and others will replace last week's additions.

First Morning Glory of the summer.

A slightly refrigerated Grass Hopper. These things are hard to capture. I couldn't catch the one I wanted, much larger than this one and more colorful with browns and emerald greens. For another day I suppose.

For as much time as I spend in the garden, you'd think I'd be less squeamish about bugs & critters. Dark n Stormy Knight Aug 2020 #6

For me, though, the grasshopper is the more exotic. I haven't seen any out here, ever!

That would be a great entry in this month's contest!

If I can catch one of the big ones I'll post pics of it too. Like most insects there a huge variety of 'hoppers. I like them and dragon flies because they look like machines with armor plates, hinges and I imagine gears.

The large ones are proficient fliers. One leapt into the air and flew in circles for more than 10 seconds. Some have very colorful wings which, unfortunately, you can't see when they're alive.
