Got a pretty generic response from her office.

Newsom has said it may take another two months just to catch up with claims that have yet to be processed.

My guess: some new employee was assigned to data entry, screwed up my dates accidentally and no one knows how to fix it.

It’s a PITA, but it works.

Press 1 when the first voice prompt comes on. You’re then forced to listen to this longish message. At the end of the message, you’ll want to press 2 or ZERO. Be prepared to hear that the lines are too busy and they can’t take your call. You’ll need to repeat the process until the voice prompt informs you your call has been put in the queue for an agent to speak with you. After that, you’ll wait about 30 minutes on hold until they get to you.

Hint: you can sometimes cut short the longish message by pressing 2 over and over again.
