Wendy Greuel's strong showing for a seat in a district in which she doesn't even live. Now that it is clearly Lieu vs. Carr, the focus must turn to turning out the democratic vote in November. This will be essential for the down ticket too. AD66 Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi lead narrowly most of the evening only to lose by a few hundred votes to his only competitor for the general election--Republican David Hadley. A strong turnout for Lieu in November will help Muratsuchi and liven up the SD26 race that pits two democrats--Sandra Fluke and Ben Allen--against each other.
