Hey, timely.

D.C. Court of Appeals to stream video of oral arguments for the first time

By Keith L. Alexander June 17 at 8:57 AM

For the first time, the D.C. Court of Appeals — the District’s highest court — will stream video Tuesday of an oral argument live online.

The live stream will begin at 10 a.m., as the entire eight-member court will hear arguments regarding an adoption case involving the petition by the biological parents’ preferred caregiver, versus the foster-turned-adoptive parents.

“We are very pleased to utilize existing technology which will for the first time enable DC residents, and in fact anyone on the Internet, to observe the DC Court of Appeals, sitting as a full or en banc, court, in action,” Judge Eric T. Washington, the court’s chief judge, said in a statement.
