Dozens of Florida hospitals max out of ICU capacity amid surge in COVID-19 cases

Dozens of hospitals in Florida are at their ICU capacity as the state struggles to contain its massive spike of COVID-19 cases.

According to new data released by the state's Agency for Health Care Administration, almost 85 percent of the state's ICU beds are occupied, with just 933 ICU available beds remaining across the state.

WFLA reported that 435 were hospitalized overnight Friday, a new record. At least 52 hospitals in the state have no ICU capacity left at all.

During a Friday press conference, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) tried to assuage fears over the mounting hospitalizations.

DeSantis cannot polish this turd, as much as he might try.

You can lie about testing you can lie about rates of infections Garion_55 Jul 2020 #2

Is generally our news media choice. If they really try hard, they may be able to twist this because some of the hospitals have set more Intensive Care Unit beds aside for covid patients. I'm thinking that in the very near future, they will then claim there are empty beds.

But all is well because the governor said there is no need to be fearful.

You might even be able to lie about people visiting the hospital and how often.

You cannot lie about a hospital that is full. You also cannot lie about dead bodies when they start piling up.

The governor in Florida and the other one in Texas are now starting to realize that the lies are over and time for the truth to come out
