Rubio should be able to trounce any of them, unfortunately. However it might depend how bad the Zika crisis gets. That cuts across party lines and younger women (including upper middle class women in the GOP base) in particular are starting to panic about it, justifiably so. So Rubio's re cent reiteration of opposition to abortion even for Zika-infected pregnant women is not going to sit well with his moderate republican suburban professional base if Zika gets out of hand.

I suspect Zika has not been factored in to this election yet.

Not one story about any alternative people, just those talking about Murphy vs. Grayson.

I just got my sample ballot and as usual researched all the choices I can vote for. In the Democratic Senate Primary, I like Luster the best so I'll vote for him in the primary.

In the General Election I am hoping that the anti-Congress sentiment will help people decide to vote against incumbents. That would unseat a lot of Republicans and give us a chance to get more Democrats in place.

Previously I'd said that for Congress, either Corrine Brown or Al Lawson was fine by me. Brown has some serious problems with her indictments and has an uphill battle between that and the complete shifting of her district. Lawson has been State Representative for this area for a while and has done his best in a Republican dominated legislature. I'm going to vote for Lawson in the primary.

(My US Rep. was Gwen Graham but the redistricting gutted the Democratic portion of her area in District 5. She's not running for re-election. There have been rumors she might run for governor and follow in her father's (Bob Graham) footsteps.

The only other state level race is for the State Attorney, 2nd Judicial Court. That's between Jack Campbell who has been a strong part of the office for a long time or Sean Desmond who worked for the office twice, left twice and had a failed private practice in between. I'll go for Campbell since he seems more competent.

The local races are usually easy to pick - and if it is a toss up, I vote for the woman when possible (so does my husband).

As far as education policy goes, I like Murphy's.

As I said, I'll vote for Luster in the primary, then for the Democratic candidate in the general. It will probably be Murphy.

You're right about Grayson - too much crap has surfaced from his personal life. Plus with Florida voters, he wouldn't have much chance of beating Rubio. I'd love to kick that little twerp out of the Senate!
