So, my wife got up at 5:30 a.m. to try to claim her Unemployment Compensation

for the next two weeks. Of course the DEO's fucking "Connect" system won't let her. These Repukes are so malevolent and incompetent words fail me. They are hopelessly overloaded, yet they try to add yet another hoop for people to attempt to jump through.

Motherfuckers.

ON EDIT: Now they say the system will be available to existing claimants tomorrow. They shouldn't tell the new media something is gong to happen unless they are sure it will.

Stupid motherfuckers.

I went online at 12:03am this morning to certify for the two weeks that just passed. I was done in maybe three minutes. The $ will be in my bank account by Tuesday.

They got it. Their definition of "right" and ours are different. I don't know how people without computers and Internet access are supposed to collect. All the libraries are closed, so they can't use their computers.

He received information on the amount he would be receiving and a card in the mail not long after that, but he can't activate it. When he tries, it states "invalid claim" At least 3 times a day he talks to someone about it. His employer set up a hotline for problems and he's been there too, several times.
Depending on the person the reply is: You are receiving benefits, they have been applied to your card. His response -The card is not working, I would like to switch to direct deposit. They ask for the card number, tell him its invalid and end the call. OR they tell him it will be sent to a "level 2" team. FIVE WEEKS of this BS.
It's like they are waiting on him to give up or die.
