Also saw Ernst's ad accusing Braley of sexism, and running a dirty campaign. Gotta love GOP projection.

Ernst didnt have long to revel in her victory as the next morning, she found herself in the Democratic Partys crosshairs as the first of whats sure to be several negative campaigns hit the airwaves. In it, Democratic candidate Bruce Braley questioned Ernsts primary campaign slogan of promising to cut pork at the federal level after never introducing a bill at the state level reducing government spending.
With an image of a chick portrayed frequently in the background, Braleys advertisements were immediately criticized for sexist overtones.
Ernst spokesperson Gretchen Hamel said in a statement the ad degrades and insults Iowa women by comparing Joni Ernst to a chick, and she pointed to a number of bills Ernst co-sponsored to limit government spending.
end cut
Next they lamented her family members being drug into the mud. Husband calling Janet Napolitano a traitorous skank" and Hilary Clinton a hag no big deal in GOP world.

(49,969 posts)3. I've not seen it so I looked it up online.
Seriously? They're pissed about the peep?
Anything to deflect attention from their shitty candidate I suppose.

(1,606 posts)4. Saw the ad again this morning.
Ad is incisive, but the lead-in, "I'm Bruce Braley and I approve this ad," almost puts me to sleep. Braley needs to get some fire in his voice and generate some enthusiasm among the base. He's much too tepid.
