PLYMOUTH – A public forum, including presentations and discussions about decommissioning the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, will be held from from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Plymouth Public Library on South Street.

Entergy Corp., the plant’s owner, announced last October that it planned to close the nuclear power plant in Plymouth no later than June 1, 2019.

Wednesday’s event is sponsored by the Pilgrim Coalition, a group of activist organizations seeking to shut down Pilgrim.

Speakers at the forum include engineer Arnie Gundersen, who worked several years in the nuclear industry and has served as an expert witness testifying before state and federal regulators, and Marvin Resnikoff, an international consultant on radioactive waste management issues.
