Fans injured in railing collapse suing Snoop Dogg, Live Nation
Fourteen concertgoers and three event staffers injured when a railing collapsed at a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert in Camden earlier this month are suing the performers and the event promoter, Live Nation.
The injuries included broken legs, torn ligaments, and concussions, according to the Center City law firm representing them, Saltz, Mongeluzzi, Barrett & Bendesky, PC. One security employee whom the railing collapsed onto has a fractured spine, the firm said at a news conference Wednesday morning.
Robert Mongeluzzi and other attorneys blamed the collapse on poor planning and overcrowding against the railing, which caused fans to plummet six to seven feet to a concrete pathway below.
"What happened here should have been prevented," said Andrew Duffy, a lawyer at Mongeluzzi's firm.
