De Blasio won’t commit to $13 minimum wage

Dana Rubinstein

Mayor Bill de Blasio hasn't decided yet whether he wants to raise New York City's minimum wage to $13 an hour, which would be permitted under legislation Governor Andrew Cuomo recently pledged to support.

"First of all, we’ve got to get that bill passed, so what I want to focus on is getting the bill passed," said de Blasio this morning, following an unrelated press conference at the Jacob Riis Houses in the East Village.

De Blasio, a founding member of the Working Families Party, helped broker the third party's endorsement of the governor for reelection this weekend.
