Many Left Waiting For Hours To Get Home After Belmont Stakes

ELMONT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Hours after the Triple Crown upset at Belmont Park, thousands of horse racing fans were still trying to get home.

Heavy train delays proved to be as much of a disappointment as the race was to many California Chrome fans Saturday.

that they brought in fresh horses to run after California Chrome had run in the two races leading up to the Belmont and was presumably tired or at least less fresh.
