The Daily Kos backs John Liu's primary challenge against Senate IDC member Tony Avella

Ex-City Controller John Liu's bid for the state Senate picked up support from a leading national online progressive group.

The Daily Kos on Tuesday endorsed Liu in his primary challenge against Senate Independent Democratic Conference member Tony Avella, of Queens.

Having already asked its members to support former Attorney General Oliver Koppell in his primary challenge of IDC leader Jeffrey Klein, of the Bronx,, the Daily Kos is urging them to also give to Liu.
