A federal judge has denied Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver’s bid to dismiss the federal lawsuit brought against him by two of the women who accused ex-Assemblyman Vito Lopez of sexual harassment.
District Judge Analisa Torres ruled the women – Victoria Burhans and Chloe Rivera – “have alleged sufficient facts to establish a plausible claim that Silver participated in and caused the deprivation of their rights.”
