Private School Tests in Flux in New York City, Causing Fuss
SOPHIA HOLLANDER
Getting a child admitted into a New York City private school has never been easy. Now parents have fresh reasons to fret.
Three months after an association of New York private schools said there would be no consistent standardized-testing component for the first time in nearly half a century, a new assessment has emerged, adding to parents' uncertainty about which, if any, of the tests their children should take.
Incomplete and conflicting information from the schoolsmany of which are still evolving their policieshasn't helped.
