3-Foot Python Found Under Couch Cushion In Long Island Apartment

HOLBROOK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — One might expect to find coins and crumbs while cleaning out the inside of an old couch, but one Long Island couple ran into something far less mundane on Monday.
Peter Wang and his wife were cleaning out a basement apartment in the Pond Path complex in Holbrook that had recently been vacated, when wife removed a couch cushion and found a 3-foot python, according to the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

That is a ball python- very gentle, non-venomous. I had one as a pet years ago, totally docile. Unless you're a small rodent.
