Senate co-Leader Jeffrey Klein says there's been no discussions about IDC reunifying with the Senate

KEN LOVETT

Senate co-Leader Jeffrey Klein Monday afternoon denied there are ongoing discussions about re-unifying his conference of five dissident Democrats with the Senate’s mainline Dems.

Klein, in a phone conversation with the Daily News, flatly denied a published report that discussions have been taking place with Senate Democratic Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.

“We’re not going to engage in the politics of extortion that’s part and parcel of the Working Families Party,” Klein said.

But one insider insisted there has been "preliminary" discussions, "but nothing really concrete."
