The de Blasio administration will continue its predecessors policy of replacing wooden boardwalks with concrete, the citys Sandy recovery czar said Thursday.
The use of concrete in boardwalks is not going to change at this point, Daniel Zarrilli, head of the Office of Recovery and Resiliency, told the City Council, saying the move is a sound decision and that stands.

(14,733 posts)'both can be easily destroyed'. Last I checked, it took a heck of a lot more to destroy slabs of concrete than it does two by fours.
