Two Republican assemblymen used strong language to condemn corruption in the Assembly and to support a bill (A.07173) that would halt retirement benefits for any state or local official convicted of a felony related to a breach of public trust.
"The walls here ooze corruption," said David DiPietro, R-East Aurora, saying that he had never been in a more corrupt place.
Assemblyman Michael Montesano, R-Glen Head, spoke of the need to restore public trust.

And given how "tough on corruption" Cuomo has proven himself to (not) be, I don't imagine he will be supporting this bill.
