City reaches a contract deal with two more unions

JENNIFER FERMINO

After years of stalemate, the city has settled contracts with two more municipal workers unions - the New York State Nurses Association and 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East.

The two contracts follow the same pattern put in place by the United Federation of Teachers deal, which was ratified earlier this month.

“Today marks another step toward restoring a productive, respectful relationship between the City and its workforce, while securing much-needed certainty that protects our long-term fiscal health,” said Mayor de Blasio.
