Religious reproductive rights group to honor 2 women

Just a warning here -- the one comment posted to the paper in response to this article was disgusting. I would urge our Oklahoma DUers to offer their support of these women.

Barbara Santee and Martha Skeeters will receive the 2014 Judy Halpern Faith and Freedom Award next month for their support of women’s, family and religious freedom rights.

The Faith and Freedom Event will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Temple Israel, 2004 E. 22nd Place. There is no cost to attend.

The Oklahoma Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice established the award in memory of past president Judy Halpern, a lifelong activist, to honor supporters of reproductive issues.

Santee, a Union High School graduate who holds a doctorate in sociomedical sciences from Columbia University, is the former executive director of the Oklahoma chapter of the National Abortion Rights Action League....

I have posted Dr. Santee's writing in the Pro-Choice forum many times. She has been a lifelong advocate for choice and is still going strong in her 70's. She is compassion-driven and tireless in her advocacy for women's rights and one of the most admirable women I've ever known. Thanks for posting!
