"Public Sector Gas Shill to Become Private Sector Gas Shill
Corbett DEP Head Michael Krancer is headed back to Blank Rome LLP:
"The attorneys and professionals of Blank Rome LLP and Blank Rome Government Relations LLC are uniquely positioned to counsel and represent shale oil and gas exploration, production, and mid-stream companies regarding all of their business needs. With offices in Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, DC, Blank Rome is strategically located to meet the needs of shale developers and operators in courtrooms, boardrooms, and before state and federal government."

(15,480 posts)I've been beating the drums on all the political blogs since the election to have Pennsylvania's new, Democratic Auditor General do a performance audit on DEP's actions re fracking. I am loop-the-loop HAPPY! to tell you all that I just heard from State Representative Jesse White that Auditor General Eugene Depasquale has started the audit of DEP/Krancer and that Jesse White is working on it with him.
This will put paid to any of Corbett's evil plans to replace jailed State Supreme Court Justice Orie-Melvin (also GOP, of course!) with Krancer (a rumor that's been going around). That appointment would have to be confirmed by the Republican controlled state Senate, and even those fools have to realize that the last thing the Commonwealth/state Supreme Court needs is another Justice under investigation - who would have to recuse himself from all fracking/environmental cases, and likely be suspended pending investigations.
Having heard this news from Jesse White, I think this is why Krancer left - he's trying to distance himself from the performance audit.
In case anyone is wondering how one pronounces "Krancer", you have a choice. You can either pronounce it Krancer, rhymes with cancer(long term effects of fracking pollution of air, water, crops, livestock, etc.) or the British version, which is Krancer, rhymes with Wanker!
Now I shall sing Happy Days Are Here Again!
