Teabagger School Bd. Pres. uses HS Graduation Speech to attack abortion & deny climate change

At the Quakertown Area High School graduation ceremony, it is customary to have the School Board President make a few remarks. Usually they talk about the importance of hard work and concentrating upon your goals. Instead, this year's graduates were treated to a long speech about abortion and to deny global climate change. The graduates kept hoping it was going to stop, but he kept going on.

"a woman whose son was among the graduates told Stepanoff his comments offended her. "You used this platform for your personal agenda," Trish Prush said. "You made a black mark on an otherwise beautiful evening. You spoke of wisdom, and I hope you learn from last night's graduates, who conducted themselves with class, integrity and professionalism."

Cameron Fowler, another parent of a graduate, also criticized Stepanoff for his comments.

"You took advantage of a captive audience," he told the board president. "A high school graduation ceremony is not an appropriate venue to air them."

Michael Schmauder, the father of twins who graduated, said the evening "took a turn for the worse" over Stepanoff's remarks."
