SAN ANTONIO The University of the Incarnate Word has responded to the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of a student who was shot and killed by a campus police officer in December.
In a document filed Monday night, lawyers for UIW said the school should not be held liable for the death of Robert Cameron Redus and that its officer, Cpl. Christopher Carter, was in fear for his life when he opened fire.
Redus, a 23-year-old who went by Cameron, was shot five times including once in the back by Carter on Dec. 6. Authorities said the shooting came after a six-minute struggle in the parking lot of the Treehouse Apartments in Alamo Heights, where Redus lived.
The Alamo Heights Police Department and Texas Rangers investigated the shooting without filing any immediate charges and have turned the case over to the district attorney's office for review.

In Bangladesh a while back an owner of a garment mfg company added a floor to a building, in an unsafe manner, floor collapses and hundreds die.
He can do that as they dont have govt regs preventing it, if you allow republicans power we wont have any either
