Poll: Is it okay to call Texas GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott "Assbutt"?

Normally, I don't give very involved with name-calling so I'm risking getting this thread hidden with this poll, but as a data analyst I couldn't avoid posing this question:

Is it okay to call Texas Attorney General and Republican gubernatorial nominee Greg Abbott by the more descriptive term of endearment "Assbutt?"

I hope that I didn't make the choices too difficult.

We need her as Governor. I think positive stories on her might be beneficial.

However, I don't have transportation or the financial ability to follow her campaign so I have to rely on press accounts and emails from the campaigns.

I merely wanted to provide plenty of options for the poll participants. I'll be compiling an analysis about the voting in a few days. It looks like "assbutt" is coast in with a large margin of support though. Remember to stay upwind!

2010 is that Republicans did a lot of wallowing in the muck and the Democrats sat by and put up a meek response.

We already see that the GOP has played the dirty tricks with the Abortion Barbie stunt and Greg Abbott has not responded in any way to condemn what occurred. From the vantage point of an independent it looks like Wendy is weak and the GOP will play this up. Wendy and the rest of the Democrats receive about one-third to one-half of the amount of press coverage in print media compared to the Republicans. The GOP also will have a substantially deeper war-chest than the Democrats due to their corporate ties.

The last statewide polls were in February, March and April and all of them show double digit leads for Abbott. With the lack of press coverage and the debates being limited to two and on Friday nights when football games occur, it is going to be difficult for the Democrats to spread their message.

I was hesitant to make this post because deep down I do agree with you--it isn't appropriate to stoop to their level. The discussion should be about policies and character, in which case all of the Democrats are superior compared to the GOP counterparts. However, if something isn't done to motivate voters, then we will face the same results that we've encountered in the last several races. Yes, there is some shock value to this thread but if it provides an impetus for discussion and firing up the base then I'm willing to get myself dirty in the process--that's the nature of politics and since I have no ambition for political office I'm willing to be the fall guy on DU.

Hopefully, even though we might have a different view on motivational tactics, we do agree as far as wanting the same result so my apologies for the offensiveness of the question that I asked. I'll avoid using this reference in the future and try to be an advocate in other ways.

Also asses and butts serve useful purposes, and Greg Abbott does not. Asses, otherwise knows as burros and donkeys, pull plows and serve other useful purposes on farms.

Butts, aka the gluteus maximus, is the largest muscle group in the human body. We couldn't sit down without it. Greg Abbott serves no such useful function.

Sam with asshole. The asshole, otherwise known as the anal sphincter, helps expel waste material from the human body. Not so with Greg Abbott. He's more likely to bring waste into Texas, for a suitable profit, of course.

So, no, "assbutt" is not a suitable term for Greg Abbott. He's just a plain ol' jerk.
