Lubbock ain't got Jack! Four JIB Locations Close

Jack in the Box closes all four Lubbock locations

No more late-night sourdough melts for Lubbockites.

The Jack in the Box at Fourth Street was the first to close, quickly followed by the three other Lubbock locations Tuesday.

According to a spokesman for Jack in the Box’s corporate office in San Diego, the corporate office asked Lubbock’s Jack in the Box franchise operator on Monday to close the remaining restaurants immediately, with no plans to open the stores in the future.

“The franchise has been noncompliant with the terms of their franchise agreement for quite some time,” said Brian Luscomb, a spokesman for Jack in the Box’s corporate office.
