Dallas ISD Home-Rule Backer Has Deceived Kentucky Into Taking Down Its Guaranteed Public

State Pensions. Arnold has tried this in Texas too. I believe he is deceiving the parents and taxpayers about Dallas ISD. Home-Rule is giving up control of your student and the school district to business profiteers.

Here is a post from Oct. 2, 2013.

He's the one! The "pro" Home Rule Charter District group tried to keep Arnold (who is their major donor), a secret, but he decided to come out of hiding on his own.

I live in Dallas and I am totally opposed to the Home Rule movement. Everything about it is fishy. Your post about Arnold going after school pensions may be the cause, right now it is not clear. Here is what I don't think makes any sense. Arnold lives in Houston. Why is he so interested in Dallas Schools? He said that is because he went to high school in Dallas. To me, that is not enough reason for a person to part with big bucks like he is doing. Also, there are other people and organizations that are working with him, but their names are not disclosed. Why? As a Dallas resident and long time taxpayer, I want to know who we are dealing with. The Home Rule backers paid a lot of money to hire people to collect signatures so they could get the petition up for a vote in November. Why are these people spending money on this? I don't think they care a hoot about the school children of Dallas. They have a hidden agenda and have figured out a way they can make money off the Dallas school district. This whole thing stinks to high heaven!

... these hedge funders are seeking to dismantle pensions of ALL workers so that the money is available to the open market. More money (fees) for them. Since you live in Dallas, you've probably read this, but if not, this is how some of the "dots" are connected between some of the home rule backers...

Also, I'm not in any way saying that DISD doesn't have their problems, but gutting the entire system is not the answer either. Especially when the only changes being suggested are ones that deal with the governance of DISD. Nothing much is proposed that will help students achieve academic success.
