I haven't been active in local politics since I'm in a temporary housing situation because I was caregiver for my father before he passed away last year and this county didn't have any Democratic candidates on the ballot.

I'm hoping to return to either Austin or Dallas now that I've recuperated from a couple of oral surgeries and was fitted for dentures in the latter half of last year (five teeth removed from the top and eleven teeth from the bottom). It's been rough finding a new job since I'm at a mid-career level and there isn't much turnover in my field. I do possess skills that can be used in other fields, but I would drop to almost an entry level salary and when I attend interviews I pick up the vibes that the employer want someone younger (I'm 47).

It has been a few years since I visited San Antonio although I did live there for a short while back in 1987. The memories were not my fondest since I was just out of college and unemployed at that time.

I'm an 8th grade middle school teacher trying to move to software engineering. I enjoy living in San Antonio, but I live on the conservative side of town, so I have an uphill battle to turn it blue. I'm 33 and have higher aspirations in politics to I will see where I end up . If you visit San Antonio, lemme know.

One of uncles died last week and I was a pallbearer. This was the first time that I drove to Brenham from my current house It turned out that it is on 70 miles from my house. Brenham is a nice town but is very conservative. I am worried about my aunt and so I planning to make atrip back to Brenham to check on her

I agree that it is very conservative. The younger people are reasonably friendly, but I find that the older residents and business owners are some of the least friendly people that I've encountered in the state.

Let me know when you head out this way. It would be nice to see another DUer, but be careful around the post office since that is where the Larouchies hang out.
