Guess that right-to-work state strategy isn't working so well for Boeing.
Boeing Co. is reportedly still having problems with 787s that are built at its North Charleston, S.C. production facility.
The Seattle Times reports that at least one 787 assembled by North Charleston workers that was being finished in Everett saw "nearly 100 improperly installed fasteners" clatter to the factory floor, with one Everett employee describing the S.C.-assembled work as, If they cant make sure this is done, what else are they forgetting?
Last month, Boeing (NYSE: BA) workers in South Carolina were awarded bonuses for making improvements in 787 assemblies.

This is the old manufacturing and computer science project development test question:
Do you want it:
QUICK & INEXPENSIVE? It won't be done CORRECTLY

(5,756 posts)If Boeing sells inferior, unsafe aircraft to airlines and the result is those inferior aircraft crash then there will be a hell of a lot more money involved in lawsuits and settlements than it would require to pay union wages with a skilled workforce to produce a safe product.
