State college GOP Federation revokes recognition of far-right WSU group

The far right College Republicans chapter at Washington State University, recently embarked on a wall-building project, has seen its charter revoked by the Washington College Republican Federation.

"A new group has applied for a charter, and we expect it will receive a charter in the coming weeks," Federation President Jack Pickett said.

The controversial WSU chapter was formerly headed by James Allsup, who marched in Charlottesville with the white nationalist group Identity Evropa. The 2017 Unite the Right demonstration ended in violence with a counter demonstrator run down and killed.

The College Republicans National Committee repudiated the Charlottesville protest as "vile, racist and cowardly." Allsup quit as chapter president.
