(13,559 posts)mind serving on juries. I've been called numerous times but have only served twice. One a civil car accident case and one a meth dealer. Both pretty easy cases really. I did not want on that molester case at all!
That meth dealer case was only a wonder that he didn't just plead guilty. For Idaho, he had an astonishingly open minded and fair jury. If his lawyer even had a chance, we could easily have let him off on the distribution charge. It was a freakin' clinic on what not to do if you are out on parole (we never knew that until later) for a previous meth sentance!

(6,622 posts)I've served on juries for a couple of cases, but they were minor enough to be interesting and pretty much devoid of stress. What you did is an enormous service. I hope that the reward helps to reduce the pain of what must have been some very difficult testimony to hear.
