I knew he was gay but I didn't know he was outed by another Republican during a debate. I suppose his being outed was the reason he didn't run in 1996. I just saw a post saying Tammy Baldwin if elected would be the first legislator who ran openingly as being gay.

Also, Newt's girlfriend now wife worked for Congressman Gunderson on the Agriculture. That would be while Newt was cheating on his second wife, that he cheated on his first wife with. WHat a piece if shit ole Newt is.

He came out only toward the end of his congressional career, if not his last term. I really don't remember him actually running as openly gay.

He was my congressman in the 90's when I moved back to central WI.
