I loved Drop Dead Fred. He was hysterically funny with Phoebe Cates.

Bottom was absolutely hilarious. That and The Young Ones are still 2 of my all time favourite comedy shows.

http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/jun/10/rik-mayall-punched-his-friend-in-the-balls-here-actor-gets-fake-blue-plaque

An unofficial blue plaque paying tribute to late comic actor Rik Mayall commemorating the time he 'punched his friend in the balls on a bench near this spot' has appeared in Hammersmith Broadway, London.

The Essex-born actor, who starred in alternative comedy shows such as The Young Ones and Blackadder, died on Monday morning, a spokesman for Brunskill Management said. The cause of death is currently unknown.

The plaque's QR code links to the opening credits of Bottom, a slapstick sitcom starring Mayall, about two flatmates who live on the dole in Hammersmith, London, which ran for three series between 1991 and 1995. In the credit sequence, Mayall does indeed punch his friend Adrian Edmondson in the balls.
