Oh joy. Lost sound on main system. Windows 7 Home Premium X64

Noticed this morning no sound. Device Manager says device is working properly. Tried speakers on laptop-lots of sound.
Reinstalled drivers-nada
Disabled onboard sound and put in TWO different sound cards and installed drivers-still nada.
Tried System Restore-yet more nada
Linux Live-sound works fine.
Security scans find nada.
Tried system repair with Windoze disk-no help.

Dug out spare SSD and going to to clean fresh install.

My plans for the evening did not include screwing with computer.

Hope it's not Realtek HD Audio... those drivers are about a buggy as a Popsicle on an ant hill.

Completely uninstalled and removed all driver info, reinstalled and it came back on.
Cloned drive so now I have a complete copy of system sitting in bottom of case.
If it ever acts up again will take about a minute to shut down, swap drives and reboot.
