Current vote count gives Bernie a small edge...
http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/michigan
Detroit still has 161 precincts out and Flint 85. Bernie's big vote areas Ann Arbor has 40 precincts out and Grand Rapids 31.

(50,533 posts)Ann Arbor's 800 votes to Bernie's good with one precinct reporting, Flint is SOLIDLY in Hillary's camp, and Grand Rapids still isn't reporting. The UP looks to be Bernie country, but it also looks pretty sparsely populated.

But it certainly doesn't look like the 15-plus point lead from the pre-election polls.

He's built a modest 4 point lead with about 20 percent of precincts counted. He's doing very well in white, rural areas. There isn't much vote yet from Detroit or other urban centers yet, so it's not hard to imagine a Clinton comeback.

Well, I don't think there's going to be a contested convention on the Democratic side, but there is a chance that an upset is brewing for Bernie Sanders in Michigan.

(14,487 posts)"Im looking on the Wayne County clerks website to try to get an idea of where the vote is being reported from in Wayne County. It seems, at least as of earlier this hour, that Detroit was at 0 percent. The nearly uniformly white areas of Grosse Pointe Shores and Plymouth were at 100 percent. In other words, the percentages coming out of Wayne County right now dont really reflect how black areas are voting."

I have not been on DU much in a long time. I just posted a few times here only recently.
I like Bernie a lot, but still leaning Hill. But I will vote for the nominee whoever it may be!
I just can't stand the main forums anymore... it has become so toxic!

But that would mean they both win one but he only got 1 delegate in miss. If they split the delegates in mich, he falls farther behind.

(41,968 posts)What is concerning are the rest of the polls, that are favorable to Hillary since they screwed up so bad on this one. She'll still get the nomination but damn.
bravenak
(34,648 posts)It really has been hit or miss. They need to update their processes. She will hit the magic number regardless, but the polling is somthing I will ignore. I am GLAD he is ignoring states so we can get those delegates that he is not fighting for. We can split the rest, and win, EASY.
ismnotwasm
(41,968 posts)But damn this is irritating. I just trashed GD-P--I don't post in it much anyway, so I'm not going to miss much. I really need to increase my time at KOs
bravenak
(34,648 posts)We need to do more loungy stuff. And Stop stressin so much over every poll. Because there is nothing we can do about this phenomenon. Just ride it out. Most of his wins are small, and plenty of hers are big, so, I'm just gonna check the delegate totals and stop talking to folks about this over and done primary season.
MSMITH33156
(879 posts)said the reason they haven't called it is because they have no idea what precincts the votes are coming from. They usually know, so they line up with exit polls and project.
