Empty rhetoric that doesn't mean anything. And Sanders is pretty third way himself, now that the campaign is waking up to the realities of electoral politics on the big stage.

The way democracy works, the candidate with the most votes wins. If you are more liberal than 9/10ths of the voters out there, chances are you will be compromising a bit. Also, other members of your coalition might prioritize issues differently, and that also requires a bit of finesse and compromise. And if you piss off all the other coalition members, you will not win the election. Just the nature of the beast. But that seems to be a hard reality for them to understand.

They like calling people names better than winning, I guess.
