GOP women whisper: "I would seriously consider voting for Hillary."

This is hilarious, oh Hill yes it is. And I don't need to tell you why I'm posting it in this Group.

Hillary Clinton's Trump card: Female swing voters

Get Carol Roszka talking about why she does not want Hillary Clinton in the White House, and it is hard to get her to stop. Roszka vents about how Clinton’s handling of the Benghazi attacks was disgraceful, her feminism is phony and her ambition is off-putting.
“She wants to be elected at all costs,” said Roszka, a 63-year-old from suburban Detroit who often votes Republican, as she did in last week’s primary. Yet Roszka says when she votes in November, it will very likely be for Clinton.

Donald Trump has driven her to it. “I do not want Trump under any circumstances,” she said of the New York billionaire who looks headed to appear on the ballot alongside Clinton, after both candidates won a round of key states Tuesday. “So much so that I will not vote for the Republican Party at all if he runs.”

Roszka is part of what you might call Clinton’s coalition of the unwilling. They are the independent and moderate Republican women who don’t like Clinton – some even despise her – but are so repulsed by Trump that they are already preparing to vote for the Democrat they anticipate will be on the ballot in November if that’s what it takes to keep him out of office. Either that, or sit out the election altogether.

This loose coalition is large and growing. >snip< Trump is characteristically unconcerned. >snip<
“He’s sexist; he’s racist; he says things that will cause businesses to lose money,” said Roszka. “He wants to be king or emperor. He does not want to be president.”

Kelly Grayburn, an occupational therapist in South Carolina, recoiled when asked what she will do if Trump is on the ballot in November. “I can’t even say the words,” said Grayburn, a Marco Rubio supporter, before bringing her voice to a whisper. “I would seriously consider voting for Hillary.”
>snip<

Sure, I'd much rather have them actually like Hillary, but if Trump is throwing them into our arms or causing them to stay home, I am surely not going to spurn these women.

It's kind of hard for a reporter to push back against an average citizen he/she is trying to get information from, but of course, you're right that's a stupid reason not to vote for Hillary. Still, a lot of people in this country aren't particularly bright. I'll take their votes, though.

stayed at my house this weekend and both she and her sister think Trump is evil personified. She has voted for republicans before, but it won't happen this time. I was totally surprised when she asked who I was voting for and she said, well " I'll be voting for her too. I'm sick and tired of men." hahahaha there you have it.

I think you have it right there in a nutshell. After what some of the male GOP governors have pulled in some of their states, some of these women will probably enjoy a little ballot box revenge.

Nader voters, all of them, except for the ones who are trolls.

And I don't include the many reasonable Bernie supporters here. Just the types who swear they couldn't vote for Clinton because of all her "crimes against humanity."

the base of the Republican party is a necessary embarrassment for them. I honestly don't know one Republican woman who would vote for Trump or Cruz. These folks are Kasich/Romney voters. They are particularly turned off by the hard line anti-abortionists and virulent racism. They just don't like taxes so Bernie is out big time.

Hillary voters SHOW UP. The media and Bernistas talk about lack of energy, excitement, etc etc etc

But the fact is: Hillary voters show up and vote.

Bernistas complain about superdelegates (who they have now decided they want) and the lack of voter registration efforts at their yuuuge rallies (which is their responsibility in the first place), but the fact is: Hillary has accrued more votes, period. Hillary has accrued more votes than Trump. Hillary has accrued more votes than Sanders.

I am beginning to think we are the more mature bloc in every respect. 80% of success is showing up. I think we are going to win this.
