Not too smart to spend so much money when everyone had already voted by mail. Not too bright to send out young independents when the rules bar them from voting in the Dem primary. Google is your friend, Bern.

got the 15% cut on the ad buys.

15% of $1.3M = $195,000 haul for the slimeball duo.

Lots and lots of similar stories. It seems he is trying to keep his family under the radar on this campaign, but Jane works on the campaign as his political adviser.

Since Sanders campaign got large enough to have to bring on Devine, etc., it is hard to know how much of a role Jane and the rest of the family are playing as per salary. One thing for sure is after Sanders was heavily criticized for his "nepotism" in 2015 he has kept the actual involvement of family members close to the vest, with the exception of acknowledging that Jane is his most trusted campaign adviser--still. Somehow, in the past, Sanders and Jane both managed to keep her salaried position on the Texas Low-Level Radiation Disposal Commission off her bio. This smacks of a savvy strategist, and not quite the honest, genuine statesman that Sanders and his campaign try to color him as.

...certainly not the influence his campaign rhetoric always claims: "get money out of politics"; "money buys influence!"
The irony is that he is spending tons in order to do just as he claims should not be allowed to happen.

He isn't being beaten by the lack of paid influence (his ad spending is twice his opponent's), but by his own shortcomings--his lack of Congressional backing and real accomplishments, not to mention he has not broadened his focus in decades (save penciling in occasional references to LGBT, BLM movement, minority communities, and sometimes women to his 30 year-old speeches that often pop back out again later--he is just awkward when he tries to be "inclusive&quot .

Predictably, they are the same few ads over and over, graphic heavy, repetitive message, Uncle Bernie smiling at the end. I haven't seen any Hillary ads. I think this also bears out that Sanders is "berning" through his money and won't have a nickel left from his fundraising for any other races even in the event that he wins the nomination. It also sounds as if he's going to have to be regularly returning some donations after each monthly audit. I don't know how he can keep spending like this; Seattle airtime has to be expensive.

You don't piss away money like this.

He pissed away millions on Ohio and lost by 15.

He spent twice as much as Hillary in Arizona and lost by 19.
