(7,142 posts)Not going to hit -30 but close enough to it. My 2 stray cats that I have to keep in my unheated garage will be spending most of their time in the heated cat houses I bought for them. I have to coax them to come out to eat.
Daughter bought me a snow blower for Christmas I blame her for this weather. Well, off to blowing snow, stay warm, stay safe.

(26,173 posts)There were two recent Winters that broke the cold temp and snow depth records. I remember air temps at around -25.
So far, the coldest night in the forecast for Flint is -11 for Wednesday night and we've already been there, about a week ago. The wind chills are what is scary. -50 is hard to comprehend. I expect lots of school closings, this week. I went out, yesterday, to make sure I'm well stocked, and we cut more firewood. After I clear my driveway, my only outdoor ventures will be to the mail box.
What I'm waiting to see is how much snow we get. The forecasts vary. They said it will start falling right around morning drive time and we will get anywhere from 5 to 9", which will probably come close to equaling the total accumulation for the entire Winter, so far.
I'm hoping Mother Nature gets this all out of her system, in one fell swoop. I'm SO ready for Spring!
