Americans by 2 to 1 Would Pay More to Curb Climate Change

Americans are willing to bear the costs of combating climate change, and most are more likely to support a candidate seeking to address the issue.

By an almost two-to-one margin, 62 percent to 33 percent, Americans say they would pay more for energy if it would mean a reduction in pollution from carbon emissions, according to the Bloomberg National Poll.

While Republicans were split, with 46 percent willing to pay more and 49 percent opposed to it, 82 percent of Democrats and 60 percent of independents say they’d accept higher bills.

and deal with problems later (like now).
-
My guess is there are other places willing to do same.
-
America probably cannot pay for climate change adjustment all by itself.

that is what nations have done. And I see that continuing. Worldwide pollution probably has not declined, maybe not in past 200 years.

Using less would be a giant leap for mankind. I remember the Carter years 55mph, lowered thermostats and sweaters in winter, raised thermostats in summer and the world didn't come to an end. Then we got Reagan and the party was back on track.

We also saw the arrival of huge family vehicles with Reagan, right after the US had been through that imaginary gas shortage, as they claimed, during Carter's term. That's what they used so loudly and hatefully against him.

Devious people, Republicans and their strategists. Dirty, always without honor.
