1. Those low front wheels might work OK on a flat concrete warehouse floor, but I'm not sure how they'd work in a real-world application of pot holes, sudden grade changes, and street-repair elevation changes.
2. It seems to slow down as it goes up a slight hill. That may make it not practical for hilly communities.
3. It's not a snow and ice winter car.
Then, there are the Smart Car tipping vandals.
But, it looks like an interesting thing to keep an eye on. Thanks for posting this.

(4,840 posts)Even the Miev, which can be purchased now, can be driven to a certain extent during the winter time.
I see the disadvantage you pointed out in the low front profile. Maybe that's the airport version (they have one) and is not meant to be taken on public roads.
