MDI unveils the new line of the AirPod :\

From MDI's website:

"...This new ‘Two-seater’, evolved from the previous archetype, can be driven up to 80 km/h in ‘GT’ (7 kW) version. The ‘BABY’ (4 kW) version, which does not require a Driving License, can be driven up to 45 km/h....

...Watch our website, to see the lines of the new AirPod appear, little by little everyday, as the new design emerges, until the full image is disclosed on 27th June 2014...."

A few things I have questions about:

1. Those low front wheels might work OK on a flat concrete warehouse floor, but I'm not sure how they'd work in a real-world application of pot holes, sudden grade changes, and street-repair elevation changes.

2. It seems to slow down as it goes up a slight hill. That may make it not practical for hilly communities.

3. It's not a snow and ice winter car.

Then, there are the Smart Car tipping vandals.

But, it looks like an interesting thing to keep an eye on. Thanks for posting this.

Even the Miev, which can be purchased now, can be driven to a certain extent during the winter time.

I see the disadvantage you pointed out in the low front profile. Maybe that's the airport version (they have one) and is not meant to be taken on public roads.
