The Earth is still doomed, but if the champagne set can entertain themselves going to galleries looking at photos that help them forget what they are doing to destroy the planet, then I guess it has some fleeting entertainment value, but no lasting real value.

(Sorry. I know how hard we all work at ignoring the disturbing reality of the imminent demise of the human race. I should know better than to point how fruitless and frivolous such "eco-friendly" gestures really are. It just bums people out.)

planet). coming here to this website at all why shouldn't we all just off ourselves for the betterment of the rest left . or maybe we should all just scream from the roof tops that we're all doomed until we actually die , because that seems productive. Look i don't know about you but I do every thing I can to lessen my carbon foot print. I might add that I can't die one moment sooner than I'm supposed to. Even if I would in a heart beat if I thought it would secure something for my children. So maybe sharing these pictures are not to ignore the challenges , death or doom we all face , maybe it's just sharing . Sharing my pictures , my dreams , my thoughts , my hopes. In the end I can't do anything to change anything and I certainly don't want to join some cult that waste what little precious time we have left dwelling on nothing but death. I might add that none of us was ever promised anything and we have all been dieing from the day we were born. Climate change hasn't killed me or one person I know personally (yes that will change. We don't know when , sooner than we think and definitely sooner than we would like) what it has done is strip me of my security. Any one can tell you that leads to a magnitude of mental illness, some mental illness leads to it. I believe that's what quite a few people have going on here and honestly I'm too tired with too much

Why isn't the non-essential lighting switched off EVERY hour of EVERY night?

I mean, I can understand why some things are lit up (even if I don't agree with them)
but so much of the difference in those photos is from routine laziness and waste.

People leaving offices and the lights blaze away all night.

Street & car park lighting that goes up as much as down.

Why is 1/8766 of a year a "meaningful statement" when the other 8765/8766ths
are just wasteful Business As Usual?
