Two Chinese diplomats were killed and a third was injured in a gun attack at a restaurant in the central Philippine city of Cebu Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Chinese Consul General Song Ronghua was injured in the shooting while his two colleagues Hui Li and Sun Shen Lee were killed.
Ronghua and a group of Chinese nationals were attending a birthday celebration at the Lighthouse Restaurant when two armed men fired at them at 1.30 pm.
National police spokesman Wilben Mayor told Agence France-Presse in a text message that the two dead were deputy consul Sun Shan and finance officer Hui Li of the Chinese consulate in Cebu.
