SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea warned on Monday of a looming novel coronavirus crisis as new outbreaks flared, including one linked to a church where more than 300 members of the congregation have been infected but hundreds more are reluctant to get tested.

The outbreak linked to the Sarang Jeil Church in Seoul is the country’s biggest in nearly six months and led to a tightening of social distancing rules on Sunday.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) reported 197 new cases as of midnight on Saturday, mostly in the Seoul metropolitan area, marking the fourth day of a three-digit tally.

South Korea has been one of the world’s coronavirus mitigation success stories but it has nevertheless battled persistent spikes in infections. The latest cases brought its total infections to 15,515 including 305 deaths.

“We’re seeing the current situation as an initial stage of a large-scale transmission,” KCDC director Jeong Eun-kyeong told a briefing.

His actions are deliberate and calculated and directed toward undermining the democratic administration of President Moon Jae-in.

He broke the conditions of his bail, violated his quarantine order as a known contact of confirmed cases, is obstructing the investigation of the covid 19 cluster from his congregations in Seoul and Chungcheon, and is advising his followers to do the same.

He is a dangerous man who will go to prison. He is supported by leading conservatives on the right who embraced this religious fraud publicly last year. They are desperate because they lost the general election last April 15 to the democratic party which now has a filibuster proof majority in the National Assembly. If President Moon isn't removed from power or distracted by one crisis after another created by conservative proxies, former conservative leaders like Na Kyung-won and the current Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol will be going to prison for corruption and abuse of power. His "First Love Church" ministry if a front for political fund raising and manipulation. His followers are dupes.

(Source- 열린공감TV August 15) Lee Man-hui, Sincheonji cult leader, and Jeon Kwang-hun, Chrisian Council of Korea, use covid-19 as a political weapon. The image below them indicates the addition of the judiciary to the conservative prosecution-press cartel applauding the religious fanatics' covid attacks on the democratic administration in South Korea.

Lee Man-hui was arrested and jailed earlier this year, his cult was responsible for the spread of covid-19 in the southern provinces in South Korea around Taegu. At one point, health authorities confirmed his cult was responsible for 60 percent of confirmed cases in South Korea. He has passed the covid 19 torch to Jeon Kwang-hun.
