U.S. House votes to increase funding for IDF missile defense system

The House's Defense Appropriations Bill gives the Iron Dome anti-missile system $131 million more than funding in the previous fiscal year provided.

The U.S. House of Representatives increased funding for Israel’s missile defense systems.

Included in the House’s Defense Appropriations Bill approved last week is $351 million for the Iron Dome anti-missile system, which is $175 million more than was requested in President Obama’s 2015 budget and $131 million more than funding in the 2014 fiscal year.

The bill also included $270 million for the Arrow 3 and David’s Sling systems, an increase of $172 million over both the Obama administration’s request and fiscal year 2014 funding.

In April, Reps. Grace Meng (D-N.Y.) and Peter Roskam (R-Ill.) sent a letter to the House Appropriations subcommittee on defense seeking support for an increase in funding for the Iron Dome, Arrow 3 and David’s Sling programs.

Their web pages are filled with ads, are they giving their advertisers accurate info about page views etc? Probably not, shit I won't even click the links anymore, I don't care what's premium and what's not. Until they eliminate their subscription model I will not use their website period and frankly who needs it, there are lots of other websites with Israeli news.

I've been thinking about this because the Arizona Republic just gave up on their paywall, they must have lost too much ad revenue and it wasn't offset by subscriptions. This in a major American city with only one paper.

I don't care what's free and what's not.

Nothing personal, I do appreciate it when you excerpt more of the articles on reply.
