(18,421 posts)To throw out the Prop 8 case. As for DOMA, they may do so as well if they can prove that the House doesn't have the right to represent DOMA in the case. Logically speaking they don't because it doesn't affect them. Hopefully both get thrown out. Then Prop 8 is gone and DOMA is gone because the Justice Department doesn't enforce it. It can later be removed from law entirely. We'll see.

(563 posts)My prediction is they will either dismiss the prop.8 case, or get rid of prop. 8, but have it only apply to California. When it comes to DOMA I think it will be overturned. Who knows for now though. All we can do is wait, so I'm not pulling out the champagne until June
