Marriage equality came to Mass. 10 years ago and these people still aren’t over it

A video released late last year by the anti-LGBT group Mass Resistance was probably intended as a snapshot of problems inflicted upon Massachusetts since the state legalized marriage equality a decade ago — but instead does just the opposite.

“It’s been used as a hammer to force everyone to accept homosexuality,” the group’s president, Brian Camenker, says early on. “The slippery slope is real. New radical demands never cease.”

Throughout the nearly 30-minute video, Camenker bemoans what he describes as a loss of innocence caused by the state Supreme Court decision in Goodridge v. Department of Public Health.

Among those “radical demands” by LGBT activists, he argues, are auto, health, and life insurance policies for members of same-sex married couples; protection under the law; recognition of their communities by local elected officials. Camenker also argues against the idea of schoolbooks “normalizing” LGBT families by depicting them as happy and productive, as seen here:

and those same kind of people have been working tirelessly to overturn Roe.

Why anyone would be surprised that there are groups like Mass Resistance after 10 years of marriage equality is a mystery to me. The opposition never rests. That is our problem, we get some progress and think it that battle never needs to be fought again.

and it's the same type of people fighting everything and they never die off. Years ago I thought they would eventually disappear, but they are still here. Many think they are just old people, not true, young ones are coming along too. For whatever reason, civil rights in the US is a constant battle. Some people make it their core value in life to hate and persecute. The biggest mistake one can make is to ever think they think like those wanting civil rights.

I guess no matter where you go there are always going to be hateful nutjobs. It seems the more irrelevant they become, the more fanatical they get.

No explanation of their organization, who runs it, who funds it, et al. Typical.
