ARC of Appalachia annual women's retreat

I posted a thread about the Arc of Appalachia Preserve System to Appalachia Group: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1272250
One of their annual events is a women's retreat, which sounds like the kind of "summer camp" a lot of us could use. This summer's retreat is booked but they also host a fall retreat. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy and need, plan ahead.

When you just need to get away and recharge those batteries....

Arc of Appalachia Preserve System
Annual Women's Retreat
At the Highlands Nature Sanctuary
June 20-22, 2014

From the website:

Sorry, this retreat is full for summer, 2014. Please join our fall retreat later this year.

The annual Women's Retreat, now in its 9th year, is a true Highlands Nature Sanctuary tradition!

Enjoy the company of other like-minded women to the extent you seek company, while giving yourself permission to pursue guiltless solo time as you need - whether it be for hiking, meditating, getting a massage from the skilled therapist who will be available, journaling, or napping under a tree. This retreat offers something rarely allowed in our busy lives - expansive time and lots of choices on how to spend it.

An ideal community-styled setting is provided by Beechcliff Lodge, a handsome circa 1912 lodge situated among giant beech trees along a tranquil stretch of the Rocky Fork Creek, and its next door satellite lodges, all within easy walking distance.

Time to Relax

The "curriculum?"... Quiet walks along the nearby nature trails and time to unwind and let the magic of sanctuary renew your soul. Join the optional walks, simple yoga stretches, curl up on the porch swing with a good book or enjoy the rockers and quiet conversation with like-minded friends. We are intentionally creating a sanctuary within the Sanctuary where you can unwind and restore your energy in a pristine setting so that your inner voice can be heard. Join us to relax and renew at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary’s Women’s Retreat.

Saturday evening will feature a healthy gourmet vegetarian meal prepared in a community manner by all participants. This dinner is often one of the highlights of the weekend, the perfect activity to bond deeply with others and literally "break some bread."
